The ATC radio systems will be delivered from Jotron to Turkey within the next seven to eight months. Jotron has delivered ground to air communication systems at all airports and other remote stations operated by DHMI since 1990. Including this delivery, Jotron will have supplied more than 5,500 radio systems to Turkish airspace.

Nenad Jankovic (right), Area Sales Manager, ATC & Coastal Communication Division Jotron, said: "Turkey is an important market for Jotron and we are proud to be the leading supplier of ATC radios in this country.

“This new contract for 1130 radios strengthens our position in this market.”

The contract supply is part of the Turkish SMART project (Systematic Modernization of Air Traffic Management) initiated by DHMI, aiming to establish centralised air traffic management in several airports throughout Turkey.

The contract will be commercially and technically supported by Jotron’s Turkish partner YAZICI Co. Ltd., who has successfully represented the company and other worldwide manufacturers in the aviation industry for more than 25 years.
