Inflight sales award to Gulf Air team

Bahrain's national carrier, Gulf Air, was honored with a Sliver award at the Inflight Sales Person of the Year event held in London.

Helen Friberg, Gulf Air Cabin Services Manager received the award on behalf of the airline for her outstanding customer service skills, product knowledge of onboard duty free products and onboard sales, in a competition that saw over 87 airlines from across the world represented by their cabin crew in various categories.

Gulf Air Chief Services Officer, Mr. Marcus Bernhardt said “We are happy see a member of our cabin crew represented at such competitive awards. This is the second time this year the department has received recognition after it picked up an ‘excellent’ rating in the annual IATA customer satisfaction survey.  Cabin crew are the unsung heroes of the airline industry; without them an airline cannot operate.”

Added Mr. Mohamed Hassan, Gulf Air Senior Manager Cabin Services, who attended the event, “We are glad to have won this award not once but three times and are really proud o f our crew. We hope to continue winning this award in the coming years as well.”

Gulf Air offers its passengers a 15% discount on their Duty Free merchandise pre ordered online while planning or booking  their trip. The merchandise is later received on the flight.

The airline had won this award earlier in 2004 and 2008.
