GAA to offer new IAEA training programmes in Bahrain

Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) has signed an MOU with International Aero Engine Association (IAEA), USA, to offer Aircraft Life Cycle Management for Investor Programme and Aircraft Engine MRO Engineering and Management Programme at its training facility in Bahrain.

The courses are focused towards Banks, Airlines, Aircraft Leasing and Maintenance Organizations.
Dr. Hooman Rezaei, president of IAEI said he was excited about this opportunity. “We have considered a number of locations within the GCC, ultimately, we chose Bahrain for its strategic location and the vision demonstrated by the Government of Bahrain to develop the aviation sector. We are excited about this opportunity to bring in the latest in aviation finance and maintenance courses to aviation and banking professionals in the GCC through Bahrain. Our vision is to build on this opportunity to bring in higher education curriculums in order to establish Bahrain as the center of excellence for the aviation and aerospace education”
GAA’s chief executive, Capt. Dhaffer Al Abbasi, said the agreement was part of the organisation’s vision to expand its training portfolio, “We are eager to introduce these two new programsme, viewing this step as a beginning to a more diversified and enhanced portfolio,“ he said.
The GAA is located opposite Bahrain International Airport in Muharraq where it operates twenty four hours daily and offers its services for both local and international companies. Khalifa Al Sada, MD of Oasis Aviation Capital which represents IAEA in the GCC said; “We see this as a great opportunity for Bahrain to expand its presence in the aviation sector. We thank the Government of Bahrain for their relentless spirit to establish Bahrain as a leading investment destination in the GCC and the Middle East. I am also excited that we will have the opportunity to train Bahrainis and bring the latest education in leasing, finance and MRO to the country.
