The approval, which was awarded on June 17th, means that a full range of regular and line maintenance work can be undertaken at Flying Colours Corp’s Peterborough, Canada-based facility on business jets  originating from this vibrant Middle East region.

QCAA status enables Flying Colours to undertake continuing airworthiness and maintenance work on aircraft, including all those under its Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approval including the full Bombardier Challenger range, Bombardier Global Express, and the Dassault Falcon family.

A dedicated maintenance team from Flying Colours  has already started MRO work on its first Qatari registered aircraft at its Peterborough facility – a Bombardier Global Express which will be re-delivered to a charter operator customer next week. It is anticipated that this aircraft will be the first in a series of aircraft to be worked on for this particular operator.

“This is another great achievement for Flying Colours Corp.” commented Sean Gillespie, executive vice president, “We are very pleased to receive the approval for Qatar as demand for private jet travel throughout the Gulf region has significantly increased. It further expands our maintenance service portfolio and helps to grow our client base. We hope too to develop our business from this region now that we have this important approval.”

This latest approval adds to the existing broad range of maintenance approvals that Flying Colours Corp. has achieved. Current approvals include CAAC, GACA, Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, Cayman Islands, and the Isle of Man,  Combined, these certifications enable the business to offer on-going services to private aircraft on the relevant varying registries.
