On Thursday the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) was recovered
by America’s Deep Ocean Search which has been combing the area using search vessel, the John Lethbridge. The same vessel was involved in the recovery of the FDR.
It is understood that it took several stages to retrieve the FDR, but the Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry said it had recovered the memory unit, “which is considered the most important part of this recorder.”
The “black boxes” have been taken to Alexandria in Egypt for analysis by the investigation team.
