Final assembly on A350-1000 begins

Airbus has started the final assembly on the A350-1000, the first of three flight test aircraft to be built ready for it maiden flight before the end of 2016.

A350-1000 deliveries are expected to start mid-2017 after assembly remains on schedule.
 
Airbus has added three more final assembly stations with maximum flexibility as the A350-900 production continues to grow.
 
The aircraft is the longest fuselage of the new wide body jetliners, capable of transporting 366 passengers up to 8,000 nautical miles, and will be powered by a Rolls Royce Trent XWB-97 engine.
 
There has been 181 A350-1000 orders from ten customers.
