Etihad Cargo is strengthening operations in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Chennai, by adding a new cargo sales team and appointing a new general sales agent partner.

The Abu Dhabi airline appointed AVS Cargo Management Services as its GSA.

The announcement bolsters Etihad Cargo’s presence in the rapidly growing Indian market, where the airline operates to nine destinations – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Trivandrum.

Etihad’s chief strategy and planning officer, Kevin Knight,  said: “Building on our success in India, we look forward to working with existing and new customers to provide them with optimal logistics solutions taking advantage of future opportunities.”
