President and chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, and vice chairman of Alitalia, James Hogan spoke at the 45th World Congress of the International Association of Financial Executives Institutions, and explained Etihad’s partners come together to form a network of nearly 600 destinations.

Hogan explained that by increasing Etihad’s size with partners, the young airline has more chance to stand up against legacy competitors.

“By aligning our networks, schedules, product, service and rewards, we are increasingly moving towards a seamless guest experience across our member airlines. We are also offering an effective and increasingly attractive alternative to global mega carriers,” said Hogan.

By working closely with partners, Etihad can connect schedules, align flight product and service standards, and expand loyalty progams across partner airlines.
