Etihad Airways has become a benefactor member of the FSF

Etihad Airways has become the first Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) benefactor member from the Middle East, the highest membership offered by the foundation.

Etihad Airways vice president corporate safety and quality, Captain Majed Al Marzouqi was also appointed as a member of the FSF International Advisory Committee.

“After Etihad Airways hosted our very successful International Air Safety Summit (IASS) 2014 in Abu Dhabi, we are thrilled that they’ve continued that commitment to aviation safety and FSF,” explained FSF President and chief executive officer Jon Beatty.

Etihad hosted the 67th IASS, which brings together aviation professionals to identify safety issues and devise ways to reduce risks.

The FSF has over 1000 members, with 24 as benefactor members to support FSF safety programs at the highest level.
