Posted 2 February 2009 · Add Comment

Emirates Airlines has increased its presence in Bangladesh by adding three extra flights per week to Dhaka which started yesterday.

The three additional services bring the Dubai-based carrier’s flights up to 17 on the Dubai-Dhaka route.

Salem Obaidalla the airline’s senior vice president Commercial Operations West Asia, Indian Ocean and Africa said that the additional flights will help boost trade between the two countries which currently stands at $300million.

“The extra flights will also offer excellent connections to New York and London – home to Bangladesh’s burgeoning overseas population. Furthermore, Bangladeshi businessmen will benefit from additional capacity to the UAE and convenient connections to Karachi, Maldives and Mauritius,” added Obaidalla.
