Emirates mulls premium economy class - and seat selection charge
Speaking at the London Aviation Festival, Clark told reporters that the airlione was “seriously considering” premium economy.
Analysts suggest the carrier’s revenue per seat is not keeping pace with the number of passengers carried due, it believes, the growing number of passsengers travelling with special deal tickets below the standard rate.
As a result, from October 3, the airline will introduce a new ancillary fee to passengers who buy Special and Saver fares, by charging for advanced seat selection.
