Emirates Flight Training Academy sign for five new aircraft

Embraer Executive Jets has announced that Emirates Flight Training Academy has signed a firm order for five Phenom 100E business jets with options for five more aircraft.

The Phenom 100E was designed for high utilisation and offers state-of-the-art cockpit, docile flying characteristics and low maintenance and operating costs.
 
The Phenom 100E is currently serving flight schools in the United States, Finland and Australia.
 
“The academy will offer training programs using the latest available technology and advanced aircraft. Our decision to purchase these new aircraft for training underscores our commitment to equip the Academy, as well as the aviation industry, with the infrastructure needed to produce a highly-skilled pilot workforce,” said Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ executive vice president and chief operations officer.
 
Emirates recruits candidates for pilot jobs from all across the world, working with a team of more than 160 nationalities.
 
The new aircraft for the academy are expected to arrive in 2017.
