The daily direct service from O’Hare, served by a Boeing 777-200 LR, will depart at 8:35 p.m.

Analyst Saj Ahmad commented: “The USA has long been on Emirates' radar to augment its continued organic international growth and flights to Chicago not only provide an additional gateway to the central region of the country, it also connects Dubai with yet another important financial centre that will benefit high-fare paying passenger.

“Emirates is acutely aware that its expanding US footprint will invariably mean that it will upgauge the existing 777-200LR to a bigger 777-300ER, if only because the airline has the ability to pull in demand on its jets to support not just passenger growth, but also vital cargo revenue too.”

Ahmad added: “With 9 destinations under its belt in the USA, Emirates will already be eyeing up more connection points for travellers - particularly in the absence of any major US airline competing on similar routes. As much as Emirates benefits by filling in gaps in the market, so to do passengers who now have yet another non-stop access point to the US.”
