The superlight category or mid light jet, sits just below the midsize jets and has been an area of great interest to the business aviation community.
The standard for the category has ascended to new heights with the arrival of the much-anticipated Legacy 450, a fully clean-sheet jet boasting extraordinary performance and technology.
The Brazilian certification is expected to be followed by FAA and EASA certifications in the near future.
With entry into service in the fourth quarter, the Legacy 450 is capable of operating on short runways and of flying at high speeds, carrying up to nine passengers in the largest cabin of the segment. All of this with the comfort and security that only the digital flight control system with fly-by-wire technology is able to provide.
The aircraft has outperformed expectation and the certificated figure show improvements in range, and speed and a reduction in take-off distance.
