EgyptAir plans to sell surplus jets
EgyptAir Holding Company chairman, Sharif Fathi, has said the company has eighteen aircraft that are surplus and will be sold off in the following months.
Eleven of the aircraft are due for immediate disposal, seven A320-200s and four B737-500s.
The remaining seven, a mix of A340-200s and B777-200s, will be sold at a later date.
This comes as the carrier aims to curb its losses, which includes plans to renew its fleet.
