Russian transport Minister Maxim Sokolov told the RIA news agency that Moscow has concerns following the crash last month that killed 217 passengers and seven crew members.

It is rumoured that a bomb placed on the aircraft caused the crash.

The ban will reportedly last a few months, until Russia has had time to assess EgyptAir’s security protocols.

As of December 1, no flights from Russia will be entering Egypt as part of the ban until the cause of the crash has been established.
