Egypt has ruled that terrorists caused the Sinai Metrojet crash last October, which killed all 224 people onboard.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi acknowledged this week that terrorists caused the crash after the jet disintegrated in midair.

Hours after the crash, members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) took responsibility, stating that the bomb was concealed in a drinks can.

The Egyptian authorities have been reluctant to blame terrorism, even after Russian and Western authorities concluded that a bomb caused the incident.

Sisi delivered a national address on Wednesday, and made reference to "those who downed the flight."
