Action Aviation, the Dubai-based aviation marketing company, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the Dornier 328 Jet with 328 Support Services of Germany, the holders of the Dornier 328 Type Certificate and the manufacturer who maintains the worldwide fleet of over 200 Dornier 328 aircraft.

Action Aviation’s new distribution territory covers the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent. Under the agreement Action Aviation, working through its local offices in Dubai and India, will market the Dornier 328 Jet to the VIP market and also to the charter companies in the region.

This programme offers the Dornier 328 Jet converted from a typical 32-seat passenger configuration to a 10 -12-seat VIP layout, with a stand-up cabin, and personalized luxury interiors, all at a packaged price.  328 Support Services carries out customization and maintenance work from its facilities near Munich in Germany.

The Dornier 328 VIP aircraft is usually offered with the option of long range tanks, thereby providing a range of up to 2000 nautical miles (3,700 km).  With a delivered price, dependant on final specification, of circa US$10 million including a customer-specified bespoke interior, the Dornier 328 Jet is probably the most cost effective “large cabin” VIP aircraft on the market today.

“Action Aviation makes an excellent addition to our marketing team” said Dave Jackson, CEO of 328 Support Services. "The 328 Jet is unique in its class, offering a modern spacious stand-up cabin for up to 12 passengers in VIP configuration or 19 in corporate shuttle configuration, with a bespoke interior tailored to each customer’s individual needs.  This aircraft offers a well-proven and value-for-money proposition for VIP customers and charter operators.

Action Aviation Chairman Hamish Harding commented, “We are delighted to have been appointed by 328 Support Services to represent the Dornier 328 Jet in important markets like the Middle East and India. We see tremendous opportunities for the Dornier 328 Jet, particularly within the VIP market and charter operators”.

He went on to say, “With its range of up to 2000 nm, this aircraft will easily fly from Dubai to London with one fuel stop, and anywhere to anywhere within the Middle East or anywhere to anywhere within India. Its large cabin, custom interior service and low operating cost make it an ideal VIP and charter business aircraft. This well-established luxury aircraft be a valuable addition to Action Aviation’s existing offerings”.

The Dornier 328 Jet is also operating around the world in special mission categories such as Air Ambulance, where it offers multiple intensive care beds within the large cabin.   It also operates as coastguard aircraft in places like Australia.

The agreement is signed between Action Aviation and 328 Support Services
