The air medical & rescue sector of the show highlights the evolution and continuing growth within this industry.

The second day of the Dubai Helishow 2014 attracted students from Al Ain University and The Higher Colleges of Technology who are keen to pursue their career in Aviation industry and this is the best platform for them to reach out to the experts in the sector and learn from them.
Robert Libby, who owns and operates Advanced Helicopter Training, a division of Advanced Aero Marine Systems Ltd, conducted a session for all the exhibitors and visitors focusing on Vertical Reference Long-Line External Cargo Ground Training. The spokesperson commented, “We are pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the Dubai Helishow 2014 and the networking opportunities it will bring.  We are looking forward to meeting helicopter operators and regional service providers to expand our educational and equipment sales and services. Being based in a country like Canada which is known for its high aviation standards and a history of meeting customer demands, we at Advanced Helicopter Training are always keen to venture into new markets.  The Dubai Helishow provides a superb platform to recognise this objective.”

The spokesperson added on the Training, “Advanced Helicopter Training Inc. is presenting two educational segments on Vertical Reference Long Line External Cargo skills and safety.  We will be providing information on the AHT Vertical Reference Long Line computer based training programs. We are also introducing a new venture, HeliSlingGear Ltd. (HSG).  HeliSlingGear Ltd. designs and manufacturers helicopter external cargo lift rigging equipment, including, synthetic long lines, fully jacketed long lines, short lines, cargo nets and rigging education.  HSG is also offering a helicopter sling line core monitoring and charting replacement service.”

Another key exhibitor in this year’s Helishow is Lockheed Martin which is a global security and aerospace company Paul Bjorklund who is the director business development said: “We enjoy the partnership we have with customers in the region, providing defense products and services. We see this event as an opportunity to expand on the partnerships and introduce new products that have both Military and Civil applications.”

The third day of the Dubai Helishow will see the key highlight of the exhibition which is a presentation by Ivan Kristoff on Aerial Emergency rope access training. Speaking on the occasion, Ivan Kristoff said, “I am participating at the Dubai Helishow 2014, because this is the place where the experts in helicopter training and rescue meet. At this event, I will present a new concept for helicopter operations for Mid Air Rope access reSponse (M.A.R.S.) on the third day of the exhibition. My agenda is to cover new unexploited areas for emergency response by air and initiate a new way of presenting the concept to the public. I am participating in this exhibition because Dubai as a City has specific focus on safety and innovation which makes it imperative to promote new training techniques which can help in unexpected situations that can involve rope rescue aerial operations.”

Further adding on the live demonstration scheduled for tomorrow, Ivan continued, “Since the skyline in the city has grown significantly over the last decade, it will be beneficial to share the emergency response experience from America where the skyscrapers have been built over a century ago.  I have created an International Vertical Access Network (I.V.A.N.) and at the Dubai Helishow 2014 I would like to extend this organization to an International Vertical and Aerial Recue Network project. The aim is to gather experts in this area who share similar ideas and discuss new trends in the rope access and aerial rescue.”

Fujairah Aviation Academy is also present at the exhibition, Russal Rahim, assistant marketing officer said, “It is a matter of honor for Fujairah Aviation Academy to present itself as a premier flying training institution at Dubai Helishow 2014. We explore all fields of aviation from flying to engineering, Air Traffic Control and helicopter training coupled with allied aviation training for ground duties. The Academy provides a total aviation training solution for any individual or an organization. We have had a very good attendance of visitors on our booth on the Day 1 and Day 2 of the exhibition and are expecting an even better response on the Day 3 of the show.”
