Space exploration is a national priority for the UAE and the space pavilion has been developed to support the government’s strategic objective of building the region’s space sector.

This is an exciting time for space in the UAE. In September, Hazza AlMansouri became the first UAE national to go into space after he was launched aboard a Soyuz MS-15 to visit the International Space Station.

And, next year, the Mars Hope probe will start its journey to the Red Planet, arriving in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary in 2021 of the founding of the UAE.

Tomorrow’s Women in Space event will bring top female experts to explore the latest research and development, case studies and advancements in space. The event organisers say the discussions will shape the industry by fostering and promoting the ever-growing opportunities open to women in space.

On Tuesday, the Tech Talks will be jam packed with ideas, innovations and technology, looking at the ‘new space’ economy and redefining business models to boost mission success.

Sector leaders will also look at rocket technology, investments, satellite communication and collaboration.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon mission, the event also welcomes back Colonel Al Worden, command module pilot of Apollo 15, as a keynote speaker on Tuesday.
