Derek Donahue appointed regional director at Satcom Direct

Based in the Dubai, UAE office, Donahue assumes his new role with immediate effect and is responsible for managing the Satcom Direct offices in Moscow, Dubai, and Cape Town, in addition to marketing, sales, support and operational activities in the extended region of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Donahue moves to Dubai following a period of three years working at Satcom Direct’s International Headquarters at TAG Farnborough Airport, UK, as Business Development Director for Europe. 

The Dubai office, which opened in 2013, has built an impressive portfolio of elite clients across the Middle East from the VVIP, government and business aviation sectors who are using the full range of Satcom Direct products, technical training, support and satcom system consultation services.  In his new role Donahue will continue to expand this region’s client base, in addition to strengthening Satcom Direct’s footprint in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe and Africa.

Donahue will report into Chris Moore, chief commercial officer for Satcom Direct International, who said, “We are pleased to have a regional director with Derek’s capabilities leading our EEMEA region.
