CTT Systems AB receives order from AMAC Aerospace for the CairTM system to one VVIP Boeing 747-8 aircraft.

AMAC Aerospace AG has ordered the CTT CairTM System to be installed in one VVIP B747-8 aircraft. The installation will be performed during 2013.

“We are very pleased to receive this new order from AMAC Aerospace being the fifth from the company and we are especially excited receiving the order for a VVIP B747-8 aircraft as it is the first order for us from AMAC on this aircraft type”. We are delighted to continue working with AMAC in this prestigious project, says Peter Landquist, vice president sales, marketing & customer support of CTT Systems.

Tracey Hawthorne-Kurz Director Purchasing & Logistics at AMAC Aerospace added:“AMAC Aerospace is very pleased to be working again with CTT. We had a very strong collaboration on a previous project which was a driving factor for choosing them again. We look forward to working together on this new exciting project.”

The system is focused on the passengers’ health and comfort by providing humidification of the extremely dry aircraft cabins without causing condensation. CairTM gives a pleasant relative humidity of around 20%, compared to 3-5% without, for the passengers, thereby reducing dry air related problems (e.g. fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes, dry skin, spread of virus diseases).

The CairTM system is based on evaporative cooling technology and uses a method that effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria within the aircraft. The dual-purpose system increases humidity for greater comfort and incorporates the Zonal DryingTM System to counter condensation problems.

CTT’s Zonal DryingTM System has been selected as basic equipment for the new B787 “Dreamliner” and its humidifiers are options in crew rest compartments and on flight deck.

The A380 offers CTT’s humidifiers as option in crew rest compartments. CTT will also supply the Zonal DryingTM system and the CairTM system for the A350 aircraft, as options.
