Canadian specialist passes GACA approval with Flying Colours
Flying Colours -the Canada-based completions, refurbishment and maintenance specialists- has received approval from the Riyadh-based General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to carry out maintenance work on aircraft registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The approval means that a full range of regular and line maintenance work can be carried out at the state-of-the-art Flying Colours Peterborough, Canada based facility on aircraft from the Kingdom.
The general approval GACA AMO #353F enables Flying Colours to undertake continuing airworthiness and maintenance work on a wide range of aircraft, including the full Bombardier Challenger range, Bombardier Global Express, and the Dassault Falcon family.
This latest approval adds to the existing broad range of maintenance approvals that Flying Colours has achieved. Current approvals include Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, Caymans, and Isle of Man which combined enables the business to offer on-going services to private aircraft on the relevant varying registries. The approvals also enable Flying Colours to maximise the opportunities presented by the new GACA approval.
The maintenance team from Flying Colours already undertakes regular maintenance on Saudi Arabian aircraft so it was a requirement to maintain the continuity of the business to achieve the approval. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an extremely important executive aviation region and we see great potential from other Saudi registered aircraft. Thanks to our attendance at shows like MEBA and our on-going activity in the Kingdom we have already seen great interest and expect to develop our business from the region now that we have this approval,” said Sean Gillespie, executive vice president.
