The next Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) show is running simultaneously with MRO Middle East (MRO ME), from 1 to 2 February 2012 at Dubai’s Airport Expo and more than 2,000 trade visitors are expected to attend.

And there is a hosted buyers programme to help procurement officials meet the companies leading the way in cabin innovation.

F&E Aerospace, which is running the show, said it is preparing to meet the demand for the latest in inflight entertainment, telephony and cabin and galley fittings, due to the predicted surge of aircraft purchases in the region by 2030.

In its Current Market Outlook 2011-2030 in May, Boeing said that carriers in the Middle East will spend $390 billion by 2029 to buy 2,340 new aircraft, which is an increase of 150 per cent, to keep pace with an average of 7.1 percent annual growth in air traffic. Airbus made a similar prediction in its recent Global Market Forecast 2011-2030.

Michele Van Akelijen, Aerospace Director at F&E Aerospace, said: “Aircraft manufacturers are now fulfilling the huge orders by this region’s carriers whose procurement representatives are under pressure to deliver the latest in cabin interiors to attract and retain their customers.

“AIME is, therefore, the only dedicated event in this region that will provide a platform for companies to showcase their innovative products and services. They cannot afford not to be here.”

The most recent exhibitors to book space at AIME include Aviointeriors and Delta Interior, both from Italy, plus Airchem Consumables from the UAE.

The hosted buyers programme invites decision-makers in cabin interior procurement to come to Dubai to attend the show and have pre-scheduled meetings with selected exhibitors.

Registration is  open for airline procurement officials to apply for the programme. Registration for visitors is also open at www.aime.aero
