In a short statement, the Canadian aircraft manufacturer said the first flight will take place very soon.
The 135-160 seat passenger jet was planned to make its debut flight today following the issuing of an experimental flight permit from Transport Canada.
The CS300 had already completed high speed taxi runs.
Almost 75% of the 243 firm orders for the CSeries aircraft are for the larger CS300.
The company has recently announced major job losses and suspended the development of its latest Learjet business aircraft in order to focus on the certification of the CSeries family.
