This acquisition represents an expansion of BBA Aviation’s Signature Flight Support, and the transaction is expected to be closed next year.

“The acquisition would enable customers to benefit from an extension of Signature’s industry-leading service offering and its operational excellence across a much larger network of high quality locations. Combining Signature and Landmark Aviation also would realise significant cost synergies as well substantial tax benefits,” said Simon Pryce, chief executive of BBA Aviation.

Acquiring Landmark Aviation will cost BBA $2.065 billion, but will increase Signature’s 133 fixed base operations to 201, and Landmark will supplement Signature’s existing MRO operations.
