For the BAS team, one of the most exciting ground handling events was the arrival of “the first A380” to Bahrain. According to a statement from the company, the BAS team smoothly managed  the world’s largest passenger airliner and "delivered impeccable service to VVIP passenger Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum," who arrived for the opening ceremony .

BAS provided the on-site equipment and all ground handling services to facilitate the delivery of the event, including crew catering and technical support.

Flight operations manager of show organiser Farnborough International, Rod Dean said: “BAS ground handling team again was an integral component in delivering a truly world class event.  BAS always provided the necessary level of ground handling expertise to make this event a success; this was reflected as we received positive feedback and appreciation from all participants/partners/sponsors and guests. Undoubtedly BAS is the premier ground handling provider in Bahrain and from our experience is competing with the best in the world.  We are looking forward to continuing this relationship in the future”.

During the Airshow BAS Chairman Jalal Mohammed Jalal personally met the ground handling team; thanking them for delivering exceptional service, and upholding the international standards that BAS are renowned for.
