Ayla appoints former aviation chief commissioner as chairman

Jordanian flight training academy, Ayla Aviation, has appointed the former Chief Commissioner for the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission as its new chairman.

Captain Suleiman Obeidat officially took over as chairman and a member of the board of directors, on 1 October .

He is a renowned pilot with more than 45 years of outstanding experience in flying and aviation management, beginning with 18 years at the Royal Jordanian Air Force, 21 years with the Royal Jordanian Airlines three years as the head of the country’s Civil Aviation Authority before spending a further three years as chief commissioner for the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission.

“Captain Obeidat is a tremendous asset for any organisation to have on its board, and we are honoured to have him as part of the Ayla team,” said Ayla CEO Marwan Atalla.  “With his knowledge and experience in the industry, I have no doubt that he will support and sustain Ayla’s ongoing vision”.
