Air Arabia is to open its first route from Sharjah to Iraq, with a twice weekly service to the city of Najaf from tomorrow.
The airline now serves 61 destinations across its network.
"Iraq has great potential as a destination for business and personal travellers, as well as long-term growth potential for religious and cultural tourism," says Air Arabia's chief operating officer for its Sharjah base, Sherif Attia.
Air Arabia has announced plans to connect its two north African bases, Casablanca and Alexandria, from next month.
