Beagle Aerospace is expected to tie up a partnership with a Middle East company during the show, further growing the British company's presence in the region.
No details were being released, but Nick Theakston, chairman of Beagle Aerospace was due to arrive in Dubai last night.
“Nick does not get involved in day-to-day issues, but he is at the forefront of any investment requirement, hence his presence here,” managing director Rob Ludford said at the show yesterday.
Beagle offers MRO and manufacturing support on both the civil and military sides and, Ludford believes, that being a small, third party operation gives it a clear advantage.
“We have AOG teams ready to go which is where there is a lot of business today, as airlines run their inventories down and de-stock,” he said. “If we can respond within 24 hours as opposed to a week, then we will win the business.”
Beagle Aerospace MRO business development director James Wilson praised the show. “We were here last year but this has been considerably better,” he said. “We have been very impressed by the quality of people that have come by. They are very focused and there have been none of the souvenir-grabbers you find at some shows.”
