MAC Aircraft Interior Specialists were the company chosen to convert to VIP a BAe RJ100 for the Bahrain Defence Force. It is currently working on the second of two aircraft for Dubai Air Wing and has been chosen to carry out a VIP conversion for Amiri Flight for an RJ100. Roger Patron, MAC's Commercial Director talks about the projects.

"Of course from our perspective it is simple to see why we were chosen to carry out these projects. We are not only skilled in VIP refurbishment and new build, but we also have many high profile commercial customers. We have an insight into the business that many of our competitors do not have, along with highly experienced and skilled staff. So we are able to provide work of the highest quality whilst remaining affordable," he says
"The Project for the Bahrain Defence Force was a challenging one. We had a number of restrictions such as height and space that we had to overcome, particularly as we had to include a mid-cabin lavatory unit with adjacent closet where the wing fixings and fuel tanks were obstructing the design. Using our experience of aircraft refurbishment we were able todesign a lavatory which, not only fitted with the customer's requirements but totally exceeded them when the final design that we created also included a luxurious dressing area."
At the moment MAC is working on the second of two aircraft for Dubai Air Wing. "For this project we have been tasked with refurbishing the two front galleys and replacing the two rear galleys with new build units. MAC has also been employed to produce a VIP cabin area and VIP lavatory and toilets for the second aircraft.
On all of the projects we used the finest materials such as Townsend leathers, Corian surfaces and hand painted finishes throughout the aircraft. Our teams worked extensively to ensure the interior of all these aircraft is aesthetically pleasing and at the pinnacle of design within the confines of airworthiness approvals," Patron said
