Editor-in-chief Alan Peaford collected the trophy from the fastest man on earth, wing commander Andy Green at an event hosted at the headquarters of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Other nominations in the final included Aviation Week, Aviation International News, Flight International and Loop.

The digital media award recognised the best in the new media and included Arabian Aerospace’s weekly radio programme and podcast, its regular videos at key events, the daily news on the website, the weekly eNewsletter and a digital edition of the regular magazine.

The title was also well represented on the evening appearing as shortlisted finalists in the best international magazine; deputy editor Marcella Nethersole was shortlisted as the best young journalist and editor Alan Peaford was shortlisted for a lifetime achievement award.

Speaking after the event, publisher Mark Brown said “This is only our fourth year and we have been enhancing our digital products as part of the magazine’s development. We were head to head with some of the most famous titles in aerospace publishing so it was a great honour to be recognised in this category at such a prestigious event.  We have a great team and the award was much deserved.”
