Alterations but Abu Dhabi Airport expansion remains on schedule

Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal project at the emirate's international airport is ahead of schedule and the airport's chairman is optimistic it will be operational for its planned formal opening in July 2017.

According to Gulf News, the expansion will be 60-65% complete by the end of this year. The newspaper quoted chairman Ali Majid Mansouri as saying there had been ‘some changes’ due to changing technology, but the construction is on schedule.
Airport staff and ‘dummy passengers’ will be testing the terminal’s processes from the first quarter of 2017.
The Midfield Terminal is being built by a joint venture between Dubai’s Arabtec and Turkey’s TAV.
