Mohamed Abu Baker Farea, Director, Aviation Development & Planning, at Abu Dhabi’s Department Of Transport said the programme was still in the consultative draft stage
“We have to work with other emirates to bring this into effective and we are working closer to set regulations for consumer protection. It is a very consultative process and it will be across the board for all types of air traffic. We are taking our time because we want to get it right. The airlines here are doing a good job on their own so far, but in the long run, we need to see passengers using Abu Dhabi, and the other emirates, protected in line with our desire to be world-class aviation hubs,” he said.
