The figure means a growth of 14% year on year and new managing director, Ruan Courtney, said: “The figures are a great testament to our staff’s work ethic, and professionalism as we saw a rise in almost every division across our 16 offices.

“We have seen constant year on year growth for several years, but this is one of the largest single jumps in charter numbers that we’ve ever had. The figure means that, on average, we book a charter every 70 minutes and that because most charter contracts consist of more than one flight sector, an ACS chartered aircraft departs more than once an hour, every hour of every day.”

He concluded: “Although revenue has not increased by the same percentage - proving that it is a tougher market than in previous years - the positive side is that we are still gaining market share.”
