Air Arabia Egypt is a joint venture between Air Arabia - the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa - and the travel and tourism company Travco Group. With flights targeted to Africa, the Middle East and Europe, the airline began commercial operations in June 2010 with three A320-214 aircraft and has since added another to its fleet, currently on order.

“This is a great union for AJW Aviation,” comments Salem Dernawi, AJW’s regional marketing manager, North Africa. “Our commercial strategy has focused on North Africa and the Middle East for many years and our support hubs are strategically located to minimise AOG situations. AJW’s specialist team will utilise our comprehensive stock of Airbus spares, to ensure that we deliver our trademark power-by-the-hour support for Air Arabia Egypt’s fleet and underpin their development plans.”

This new contract once again underlines the benefits of PBH, pooling and leasing options available from AJW. Already highly regarded for its award-winning 24/7 AOG and critical component services, AJW is also currently growing its integrated consumables management and aircraft engine services business. This year the Company have commenced operations at its new AJW Technique component repair and overhaul facility in Montreal; which is the centralised hub for the global AJW repair supply chain and delivers a broad range of component repair and overhaul services to the AJW Aviation global customer base of more than 800 airlines in 115 countries.
