AIME: Middle East fleet growth faster than the rest of the world
Speaking at the MRO Conference taking place during the exhibition, Brown continued by detailing that the global MRO market is expected to grow to $90billion by 2024, at a CAGR of 3.8% per annum, while The Middle East MRO market is expected to grow from $4.6billion to around $8.8billion by 2024, at 6.7% per annum in constant dollars.
Brian Kough, Director Forecasts & Analysis, Aviation Week, told the audience that engine & components maintenance will remain the largest shares of MRO demand throughout this growth period, while the fastest growing sectors will be components and line.
“The speakers at the MRO conference presented some exciting figures,” said Lydia Janow, Managing Director, Events for MRO organisers Aviation Week. “It is a good time to be in this industry and we are pleased with the turnout from both conference attendees and exhibitors.”
This sentiment is echoed by exhibitor Airchem Consumables, returning to the show for the third time. “We are really happy with the show so far,” said Monney Javadi, Operation Manager at Airchem Consumables. “We made the decision to return due to the business trends in the MRO market in Dubai, and we have seen some key end users. This is exactly what exhibitions are for.”
“We need this exhibition,” confirmed Hani Al Arab, PR and External Communications Specialist at Saudi Aerospace Engineering Industries. “We have been attending for six years, and find a tangible value in the contracts discussed at the show. We’ll definitely book for next year.”
