The space, offered by the wide and tall ACJ319 VIP cabin, has been optimised at its maximum level to respond the customer’s needs in terms of corporate use. The configuration – new for an Airbus ACJ aircraft – is based on two main zones, offering a high level of comfort and services for 19 passengers.

The first one is a wide and large forward dining & executive lounge welcoming up to 12 passengers, combining a work area (one 4-club and one 2-club) and a rest zone (two large sofas surrounding four cocktail tables mechanically actuated).

The second one is an aft VIP suite section, providing ten private “mini suites”. This area is unique in terms of engineering, as ACJC is the first completion centre to have adapted those VIP suites to the configuration of an ACJ319. Each one features a large comfortable fully flat, electrically actuated seat, as well as a 32” TV screen and a local pad remote-control to monitor IFE services, customised PFIS (Passenger Flight Information System), internet connection, communication systems and comfort parameters (light, temperature…). Those “suites” also include a personal, electrically actuated bar and many storage zones.

The VIP areas are complemented by a large and elegant aft bathroom, equipped with a full-height shower including a brand new timer system to provide the same quantity of hot water to every passenger. This zone also features innovations like a floor heating system, a decorative serigraphy on mirrors and a marble lavatory full shaped in 3D without split.

In the main VIP zones, the latest ACJC research & development has led to the integration of brand new electrically actuated window-shades and some complex lighting systems, including a starlight network on the upholstered ceilings and in carpets. A brand new mood-lighting system, based on the innovative RGBW technology, emphasises this lighting design by on-demand lighting scenarii, including a “night” ambiance.

In addition, the ACJC team has developed in partnership with specialised suppliers some innovative decorative materials used for the panels and partitions of the VIP zones, including wood veneer with metal inlaying and 3D modelling with metal deposit.

The aircraft is also the first Airbus ACJ from the A320 family offering state-of-the-art global In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and connectivity solution, as well as a unique satellite antenna to provide GSM, TV and Internet via KU-Band system.

Benoit Defforge, CEO of the Airbus Corporate Jet Centre said: “This latest cabin has reached a new step in terms of cabin innovation with new technologies and decorative materials ever seen aboard an Airbus Corporate Jet. We also specially designed a full-scale mock-up in wood to validate ergonomy and space according to the client’s requirement, highlighting that we always go further to propose to our VIP customers the best comfort associated with the latest entertainment and connectivity systems technology. It confirms our leading place in innovation and excellence in the Airbus corporate jet market.”
