ACI and Green Light Limited introduced passenger screening course
Airports across Africa concerned with passenger screening can now partake in a course, formed out of collaboration between Airports Council International (ACI) and Green Light Limited.
ACI and Green Light Limited have signed an agreement to form a new behavioural analysis course for passenger screening and insider threat management, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of airport security programmes.
The five-day course will teach airport security professionals how to identify threats and resolve their concerns through questioning techniques.
“Behavioural detection and questioning techniques can help airports, airlines and security staff identify potential threats, and provide an important addition to the security measures available. Training is a critical element for all airport staff, especially those involved in security,” said Angela Gittens, director general, ACI World.
The course will be available at the beginning of the third quarter of this year.
