Sharjah's ACCL Airmotive Services has given the first of two PW4000 engines to the Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corporation (Ameco Beijing), for overhaul.

It is the first time Ameco has provided engine services for a Middle Eastern customer.
Last year, A.C.C.L signed a contract with Ameco - a joint venture between Air China Limited and Lufthansa
- for two PW4000s overhaul services, and the one in the workshop is the first engine.
Currently, Ameco can provide engine overhaul on RB211 and PW4000.
Ameco is also developing V2500 overhaul capability. Earlier this month, hands-on training on V2500 was completed. The first engine for overhaul, owned by Air China, is expected to the workshop very soon.
