The company is working with global media and event organisers to launch new projects in the Middle East and provide consultancy for established events & publications.
“Together we bring over 20 years experience in the Middle East to bear and, with our combined experience of over 50 years in the aerospace, aviation and defence industries, we will naturally specialize in these sectors,” said Richardson.
Richardson and Weller have both previously worked for leading publisher Flightglobal and both have created and launched some of the world’s largest aerospace events. Their portfolio includes the creation and launch of: Asian Aerospace, Hong Kong; MEBA – Middle East Business Aviation; AIME – Aircraft Interiors Middle East and GATE – Gulf Aviation Training Event. They have also developed successful shows such as the Routes forum and the Middle East’s leading aerospace event – The Dubai Airshow.
“We intend to bring our wealth of experience, contacts and ideas to new areas and help develop the events industry in the Middle East,” said Weller.
“The Middle East’s event industry has developed considerably following increasing recognition of its positive economic impact delivery, its knowledge-transfer capabilities and potential for foreign direct investment (FDI) stimulation. We believe that we can offer some new, exciting and important events and help other show organisers launch in a part of the world which boasts some of the most buoyant sovereign wealth funds and ambitious government development strategies.”
