Abu Dhabi Helicopters adds to its Bell fleet ahead of this week's Heli Show

US magazine Rotor & Wing has reported that Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA), one of the oldest and largest rotary and fixed-wing operators in the region has ordered seven Bell 412EPs from Hawker Pacific Aerospace, the Middle East representative for Bell Helicopters,.

Alan Parsons, vice president of aircraft sales for Hawker Pacific, cited ADA as “one of the region’s most prestigious operators, with over 800,000 hours on Bell products,” and told Rotor & Wing that Bell helicopters sales “generally remain buoyant throughout the region,” with Falcon Aviation, another large Bell operator, being “extremely successful in bringing (the 412) to the forefront of offshore operations in the UAE.”

With the Dubai Heli Show opening at the Maydan Raceourse this week there is a real focus on the growing helicopter market.

Bell has said that the region is expected to be “a continuing expanding market” The company will be arraning demo flights of the 429 and also showing details of the new Bell 525R helicopter which is currently in development.

Bell will be touring the 429 around the UAE and Oman after the show but will be returning to Dubai in December for the MEBA show.
