Abu Dhabi Airport sees aircraft diverted due to bad visibility

As a result of the extreme low visibility conditions at Abu Dhabi International Airport this morning, a number of aircraft were diverted to other airports in the region.

A statement from the airport said: “All parties at the airport are working together towards minimising the disruption to all travellers. 

“Passengers and meeters and greeters are advised to check their flights’ departure and arrival times ahead of coming to Abu Dhabi International Airport by contacting the Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 (0) 2599 0000 or visiting the Etihad Airways website at www.etihad.com for more information on the status of flights in and out of Abu Dhabi International Airport. 

“Passengers travelling on other airlines are advised to contact their respective airline for flight updates or visit Abu Dhabi International Airport website www.abudhabiairport.ae for contact details and updates.”
